The Stuttgart jazz pianist and arranger Ull Möck pays homage to the work of the pop titans ("still my favorite band") with his own interpretations, translating well-known and lesser-known songs from the Beatles songbook into the slang of jazz and soul jazz from the fifties and sixties, a style that still appears timeless and innovative today. Together with his long-time musical companions, he invites you on this very special musical journey. "At eleven years old, I bought my first record for five Deutsche Marks from a school friend. It was 'Help' by the Beatles, which I played over and over: my entry into so-called pop music. From then on, I took it seriously and became a real music freak. At that time, I also started to eagerly improvise blues/rock/jazz on the piano, after having only played classical literature until then. Later, I opened myself more and more to jazz, but the Beatles were and are an important part of my musical development. I still own the LP 'Help'..." Never change a winning team: Once again, new and original music has emerged from the timeless compositions of Lennon/McCartney/Harrison. Möck's arrangements sound extremely colorful in style: sometimes modern jazzy, sometimes soulful/groovy, and sometimes balladic/romantic.
