GLORIA! - Gloria & Sunrise Mass for the 2nd Advent 2025

Chamber Choir Müllheim & Soloists, Orchestra Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM GLORIA and SUNRISE MASS for the Second Advent Under the title "GLORIA!", the Chamber Choir Müllheim will present two festive Advent concerts on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7, 2025, each at 5 PM. In addition to the well-known radiant opening movement from "Gloria" by Antonio Vivaldi, the first part will feature further handpicked gems of Advent literature. Works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Handel, Gioachino Rossini, as well as a world premiere from the composing workshop of choir director Albrecht Haaf: the setting of the poem "Christmas" by Joseph von Eichendorff. In the second part, the inspiring "Sunrise Mass" by the young Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo will be performed once again, which received enthusiastic acclaim in December 2024. The Chamber Choir will be accompanied by the symphonic "Sunrise Orchestra" with its soloists Karin Stock (Trumpet) and Stephan Wiese (Oboe, Oboe d’amore, English Horn). The speaker Dorothea Gädeke will weave selected texts through the program, creating a harmonious thematic thread.
