Eaves walk Scout hike... Traces from the Bronze Age & spooky stories

Experience a guided hike with Traufgänge Scout Marcus Lanz in Albstadt-Onstmettingen during the Albstadt Outdoor Summer—amid Bronze Age traces, spooky tales, and the magnificent landscapes of the Alb. What lies hidden beneath the hills and hollows deep in the forest? From what era do they date? And what does a rooster have to do with a mountain? Marcus knows the answers and will share a story or two along the way. The summer hike takes us through shady forests and lush meadows toward Kohlwinkel. Even today, the “Black Hand” carved into the rock there serves as a reminder of a spooky past. At the Gockeler, we’ll explore Bronze Age traces before heading back to the starting point across the juniper heaths and sheep pastures typical of the Alb region. By the way, there’s a good chance of spotting our woolly landscape guardians at this time of year. Maybe there’ll even be a little time for a chat with the shepherd.
