"Rock 'n' roll, I don't play anything else." Spider Murphy Gang prove that rock music has no age limit. With hits such as "Skandal im Sperrbezirk" and "Schickeria," they stormed the charts years ago. Singing in their Bavarian dialect, the Munich band has been winning the hearts of their fans since the 1980s—and with great success! Whether small venues or large arena shows, Spider Murphy Gang can do it all. Founded in 1977, they first performed as the house band every Sunday at the "Memoland" in Schwabing. After producing their own record and attracting the attention of radio and television presenter Georg Kostya, they made their breakthrough. This was followed by their first record deal and their first tour in 1980. A lot has happened since then—their 40th band's anniversary was celebrated twice in 2017 with sold-out shows at the Olympiahalle, they released two gold albums, "Skandal im Sperrbezirk" became a triple number one hit, and they were even named "Covered Berry" by Chuck Berry, alongside names like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, and honored as representatives of rock 'n' roll.
