Fairy Tale Opera "Hansel and Gretel"

The Sängerbund Hechingen e.V., in collaboration with the Frohsinn Singing Society (Gomaringen-Hinterweiler) and the Men's Singing Society Pfeffingen, as well as a children's choir, soloists, and an instrumental ensemble, is presenting the fairy tale opera Hansel and Gretel. The opera tells the well-known story of the siblings Hansel and Gretel, who live in poverty and are sent by their mother into the woods to gather berries. There, they get lost and come across a gingerbread house. The wicked witch wants to fatten the children and ultimately eat them. However, Hansel and Gretel outsmart her: Together, they push the witch into the oven and free the enchanted children who had also been transformed into gingerbread. In the end, they return happily to their parents.
