World Music Contest – Captivating Music from Around the World Four HAC groups compete in a musical contest for the favor of the audience. Because the ESC is not enough After the success of the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, it was natural to expand the competition a bit – namely to the whole world. Each song is assigned to a country, and every concert guest evaluates the pieces individually and casts their vote. The winning piece will be performed again in the finale of the program. Countries with an ESC-winning title certainly consider themselves to have great chances – but perhaps a piece from the original accordion literature will also be at the forefront. Music Connects Generations From the Monster Youth Orchestra to the HAC Ensemble, the HAC Orchestra, and the Playing Friends, many generations are once again seen on stage thanks to our tireless conductors Gregor Heinrich, Birgit Sablowski, and Liudmyla Portenko, as well as the good collaboration with the accordion clubs from Herbolzheim, Kirchzarten, and Breitnau in the youth sector. Music Overcomes Borders Music knows no boundaries – it connects people across cultures, languages, and generations. Especially in turbulent times, a song like “A Little Peace” reminds us of how much we long for harmony and togetherness. With pieces like “Free World Fantasy,” we celebrate the freedom of music that allows us to dream and builds bridges between nations. Our concert invites you to experience this unifying power together and to feel how music opens hearts and brings people together. Join us as music overcomes borders and connects people!
