Theater monologue in seven scenes based on Klaus Siblewski

Ernst Jandl spent his last years for health reasons in his apartment. The telephone was the only medium through which he could still maintain contact with the outside world, including with Klaus Siblewski, his publisher at Luchterhand Verlag, who meticulously recorded these phone conversations. They spoke about everything. A late portrait of the poet.

Ernst Jandl (August 1, 2025 – June 9, 2000, in Vienna) was an Austrian poet and writer, who became particularly known for his experimental poetry in the tradition of Concrete Poetry and for visual poetry and sound poems such as schtzngrmm or falamaleikum, which achieve special effectiveness through performance. Jandl's work was always characterized by play with language and spanned a range from political poetry to humorous word games. His popularity was bolstered by his readings, which were released on numerous records, as well as his artistic collaboration with jazz musicians.
