Long Night of Culture

The "Long Night of Culture" offers a colorful and diverse cultural program for all age groups in the city center of Heilbronn every two years. With free admission, Heilbronn institutions and cultural actors present a wide range of offerings at various locations. Cultural highlights of various kinds make the Heilbronn city center a vibrant and varied experience space. After a break due to COVID-19, more than 40 institutions and actors from the independent cultural scene invite you back to the "Long Night of Culture" with contributions from art, dance, theater, and music at different venues. Visitors can discover familiar favorites as well as new formats and venues that evening, and freely move from one performance space to another according to their own preferences. The offerings are free of charge. The Cultural Foundation of the Kreissparkasse financially supports the Long Night of Culture. Mayor Agnes Christner will officially open the Long Night of Culture at 6:30 PM in the foyer of the Komödienhaus, together with artistic director Axel Vornam. The selection of locations throughout the city is extensive. In addition to the Theater Heilbronn, the Kunsthalle Vogelmann, the Förderkreis für Neue Musik, and the Maschinenfabrik are represented. Concerts will feature Tansy Davis, The Mighty Tinies, The Barstools, and other bands. Exhibitions will be shown at the Zigarre, in the studio of Anne Pfizenmayer, and in the Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul. In addition to cabaret, show dances, and readings, intercultural contributions from the German-African Association and a Brazilian dance group will complement the program. In the Club Mobilat, the election of the prototype idea for the scholarship for Non-Doing of the Capital of Consequence will take place that evening. From 10 PM, the closing party of the "Long Night of Culture" will kick off at Club Mobilat, lasting into the early morning hours. Experience readings with emerging authors, visit extraordinary exhibitions in local museums and galleries, or be surprised by street performers and spontaneous acts. The participatory activities and workshops, where young and old can unleash their creativity, are particularly popular. New formats and innovative projects enrich the program and provide exciting insights into the diverse art and cultural scenes.
