Author Lars Bornschein invites you to a lyrical stroll through the city center. Between light, glass, and words, "Poetry in the Window" comes to life: poems step off the paper into the urban space, inviting moments of pause and reflection. Meeting point: City Museum in the Castle. As part of the "Poetry in the Window" exhibition, author Lars Bornschein invites visitors to a lyrical walk through the city center. Under the title "Poetry Stroll," visitors can follow the poetic traces between shop windows and street lamps. Poems emerge from the paper into the cityscape, inviting people to stop and think. The focus is on the lyrical works of Schramberg author Lars Bornschein, which poetically enliven the public space. The texts are placed in and on the shop windows of the city center, inviting passersby to discover the magic of words between light and glass.

Lars Bornschein, born in 1967 in Heidenheim and a long-time resident of Schramberg, has been writing poetry since his youth and has published several poetry collections, including "Farbe bekenne" (2008) and "Beziehungsweisen und andere Ungereimtheiten" (2018). In his work, he captures emotions, city impressions, and everyday observations, sometimes in short forms like haiku miniatures. He is also actively engaged in the local literary scene and advocates for cultural anchoring in Schramberg.

Another partner of the "Poetry in the Window" project is Schneider Schreibgeräte, the leading brand from Schramberg-Tennenbronn in the field of creative writing instruments. To enrich the pre-Christmas shopping experience in the city center, Schneider relies on a combination of digital and analog impulses. QR codes have been placed in the designed shop windows, directing passersby to a specially created landing page of the company. There, interested individuals can find more information about the campaign, the products used, and the opportunity to explore the entire range online. Schneider also has a presence on-site at Buchlese: until early January, a lovingly designed "store-in-store" area invites visitors to discover a variety of Schneider products—from gift ideas to DIY project supplies to classic stationery. An additional testing area allows customers to try out the products and convince themselves of their quality.

Carina Schmid was responsible for the creative planning and implementation, working at Schneider for trade fairs, events, and communication, and is known privately under her label @cariletterei as a hand lettering and acrylic artist. With artistically designed shop windows, canvases, chalkboards, wooden boards, and picture frames, she impressively showcases the versatility of Schneider products and aims to inspire customers to discover their own creative side. With this initiative, Schneider creates a diverse shopping experience while also making a creative statement in the city center.

The poetry stroll on Friday, November 21, offers not only the opportunity to get to know the work of author Lars Bornschein better but also to perceive the city in a new way. The retail shops in Schramberg transform into exhibition spaces for creative works. Their shop windows become poetic experiential spaces that present handwritten texts and artistic exhibits. Thus, a lively walk through the city center emerges, connecting poetry, art, and local economy. Participants are asked to bring their own cup for a warming drink.

Date and time: Friday, November 21, 2025, at 4:30 PM. Meeting point: City Museum in the Castle, Schramberg.
