Bjarne Geiges, a photographer from the Black Forest, tells poetic stories about the invisible in the visible with his camera. His works invite wonder, reflection, and playful understanding of the world—far from classical image cycles. Bjarne Geiges' perception and worldview are shaped by his simple childhood in the nature of the High Black Forest, and while other children were read bedtime stories, he watched his father, a photographer, in the darkroom as images emerged in the developer. On his "journeys" in and around the house, the camera serves as his notebook. He collects inconspicuous motifs that, as simple as he found them, sometimes rearranged, tell their own story beyond the visible, or remain incomprehensible, a mystery.
