A world-class ensemble brings festive music from the 17th century to life in the Church of St. Johann on the Höri. On Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 5 PM, the Höri Music Days invite you to an extraordinary Advent concert: "HARMONIA ARTIFICIOSA – Treasures of the Baroque." Five world-renowned musicians – Petra Müllejans, Judith von der Goltz, Matthias Müller, Michael Behringer, and Lee Santana – will take the audience on a sonic journey into the world of the 17th century. Works by Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber and Giovanni Antonio Pandolfi Mealli tell stories of joy, pain, devotion, and hope in radiant harmonies and touching melodies – the great themes of life. Biber, a master of musical expression, combined deep spirituality with an unprecedented virtuosity in his "Rosary Sonatas." Pandolfi Mealli crafted soundscapes of delicate intimacy and inner brilliance with his sonatas. In the impressive acoustics of the small Church of St. Johann, these works unfold their full splendor – carried by the sensitive interplay of an ensemble that speaks the Baroque language with warmth, precision, and passion. An evening of reflection and wonder – music that invites pause and makes the Advent season experienceable in its most beautiful form. Location: Church of St. Johann, Kirchgasse 6, Gaienhofen-Horn. Tickets: €25 / €40 at www.hoeri-musiktage.de as well as in the tourist information centers of the Höri (Gaienhofen, Öhningen, Moos) and the bookstore at Obertor, Radolfzell.

In the spotlight: Petra Müllejans – Sound Art with Heart and Dedication. Petra Müllejans is one of the most influential figures in the European early music scene. She is a co-founder and was a member and partner of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra for nearly 40 years. There, she served as concertmaster for about 30 years and has performed as such on all major stages around the world. As a professor of Baroque violin at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main, Müllejans has been mentoring the next generation of historical violinists for over 25 years, inspiring students from all over the world with her experience and distinctive musicality. She also engages in chamber music in various formations. Her rich contributions make Petra Müllejans an impressive musician who combines technique, stylistic clarity, and emotional depth, allowing Baroque music to resonate not only authentically but also vibrantly and personally.
