Concert in the cinema: DECIBELLS

On Sunday, November 16 at 11 a.m., the Municipal Cinema Kandern invites you to a special Sunday matinee. For the first time, the renowned percussion ensemble Decibells, consisting of drummers from the Basel Symphony Orchestra, will perform in the cinema hall. Experience a piece of film history and the flair of the 1950s at Cinema Kandern, where modern films are shown alongside the pre-digital Bauer projector and films are screened on 35-millimeter copies. They will be accompanied by saxophonists Sandra Brigger and Krisztina Benkovics. On the screen, artworks by the French artist Christophe Hohler will be projected, creating a unique connection between music, art, and cinema. The program includes works by Siegfried Kutterer, Marc Mellits, Rolf Urech, and Frank Zappa. Admission is free; donations are welcome.
