Am Schießberg, 75365 Calw

On the 4th Advent weekend, the festive closing event for the 950th anniversary will take place. Numerous choirs from Calw will enchant visitors during a joint Christmas concert in the auditorium. The evening invites a warm, musical conclusion to the year, uniquely combining community and winter atmosphere. Admission is 5 euros, and all proceeds will be donated to the Child Protection Association Calw. A shuttle service from the ZOB / City Tree to the auditorium is available for transportation. The evening will feature musical performances by the Aurelius Boys' Choir Calw, the Concordia Calw Singing Society with its choirs Swing Singers, CalvVoci, and reVocali, the Holzbronn Singing Society, as well as a reading by students from the Hermann Hesse Gymnasium. This week, the Holzbronn Singing Society is in the spotlight of the accompanying choir presentations. The choir is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year and has evolved from a classical men's choir into a versatile mixed ensemble over its history. The collaboration with the Gültlingen Singing Society also adds vocal breadth. Under the direction of Simon Zimmermann, the choir presents a varied repertoire – from classical and romantic works to modern chansons and rock ballads. This musical openness, combined with intensive rehearsal work and great passion, shapes the unique sound of the traditional Holzbronn choir. With "Winter Magic – Calw Sings," the city of Calw thanks all citizens, guests, and participants for an eventful anniversary year and looks forward to a communal, reflective conclusion.
