At the end of the Christmas market season in the Odenwald, there is a winter market in Hammelbach on the last weekend (Sunday) in January. The scent of mulled wine wafts through the air at the Poschd-Addel-Platz behind the Hammelbach town hall, and bratwursts are eagerly grilled. Those strolling through the winter market can buy something useful or take home some delicious treats. There is a flea market at the zero-waste store, and to conclude the market, a winter fire will be lit in the evening.
