An exciting time travel experience for young explorers: How did the Romans live, cook, and celebrate? With stories, visual objects, and small interactive moments revolving around bread, Roman culinary culture, and life along the Limes. From November 24, 2025, to January 8, 2026, the city of Öhringen will showcase the special exhibition "Desired? Desired! Bread and Beer in Roman Times" in the stairwell of the town hall, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Upper German-Rhaetian Limes. The exhibition highlights the significance of bread and beer in Roman culture and their production. Guided tours will be held on the weekends of the Christmas market.
