Explore the Roman forts of Öhringen and discover how closely military life, trade, and civilization were interconnected in the border region of the Roman Empire. From November 24, 2025, to January 8, 2026, the city of Öhringen will host the special exhibition "Desired? Desired! Bread and Beer in Roman Times" in the stairwell of the town hall, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Upper German-Rhaetian Limes. The exhibition highlights the significance of bread and beer in Roman culture and their production. Guided tours will be offered on the weekends of the Christmas market.
