Crumbach Christmas Market

If that’s not a reason for joy, for cheering and celebrating: After two pandemic years without a Christmas market, the trombones will once again sound in the center of Crumbach on and around the 3rd Advent; the small steam train hisses as it makes its rounds, the aroma of oysters and mussels entices food lovers, the Crumbach Glüxwein makes the cheerful even happier, and the Benznickel clatters through the market on Sunday afternoon with a sack full of gifts. Songs, baked goods, handicrafts, stuffed animals, a carousel, confectionery, jewelry, and many, many treats will delight the guests.

Many market stalls invite big and small visitors to look, sniff, taste, and chat comfortably, in short: to enjoy a few joyful and romantic hours between the church and the castle.

On Sunday from 3 PM, the Benznickel and his helper will rumble through the market, delighting the little ones with sweets and other gifts. The boys and girls will be generously rewarded if they sing a song, recite a poem, or simply tell a cheerful story on stage. After the Benznickel, the Crumbach choir will entertain the Christmas market guests with cheerful and melodic tunes. The gourmets among the guests will be especially pleased that there will once again be wild boar bratwurst and wild ham from the "Crumbacher Wildlinge." And of course, oysters, French wine, many specialties from Crumbach's direct marketers, as well as the fruity and delicious Crumbach Glüxwein.
