Maulbronn Fairy Tale Hour

Enchanting fairy tales and stories from around the world invite both young and old visitors of the Christmas market to (un)wind moments – and at the same time offer a welcome opportunity to warm up. "Once upon a time..." it begins in the fairy tale, and so it has been every year for over 25 years now. For that long, the tradition of storytelling at the Christmas market has existed. Over two magical days, fantastic and exciting stories from everywhere and nowhere will be told, bringing sparkle to both small and big eyes. Mulled wine, gingerbread, carousels – these can be found at every Christmas market. However, in Maulbronn, there is a special favorite spot – the Maulbronn Fairy Tale Hour – a small oasis of calm where, after a wintery Christmas stroll, one can leave the hustle and bustle of the Christmas market behind and enjoy a little break, warm up, and unwind. When the door to the land of fairy tales opens, the inner and outer noise stays outside. The storytellers take their guests into the enchanted land of imagination, into a magical world of a long-gone time, into a world full of wonders. Fairy tales and stories from around the world will be presented on Saturday, December 6th, and Sunday, December 7th, 2025, at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM in the building Klosterhof 20/2. A storytelling session lasts about 45 minutes. This year’s storytellers are once again Ms. Otto, Ms. Faaß, and Mr. Boegle. Mr. Hermsen enriches the program with sing-along songs on the guitar. Stories are everywhere and among us! They give us identity and root us in our culture. They are doors to language, to imagination, to good coexistence, and to a strong community. “Stories hold the world together.” In this spirit: A warm invitation to listen and enjoy!
