Christmas Market Laubach

On the weekend of November 29 and 30, 2025, the historic old town of Laubach will once again transform into a festively decorated winter wonderland. The oldest Christmas market in Upper Hesse attracts visitors with its atmospheric ambiance, traditional Christmas sounds, enticing scents, and a variety of culinary and creative offerings.

Amid lovingly decorated half-timbered houses, sparkling fairy lights, and festive Christmas trees, visitors can expect numerous stalls featuring handmade gift ideas, artisanal products, and Christmas treats – from freshly baked waffles, apple cakes, and candied almonds to mulled wine in many variations and other hot beverage specialties.

The Christmas market will traditionally be opened on Saturday at 3 PM with an ecumenical service followed by a concert by the Music Association 1832 Laubach e.V. at Friedrichsburg.

A special highlight is the Creative Bazaar in the former supermarket at Engelsbrunnen, which will be open on both days. Here, visitors will find lovingly crafted Christmas decorations, stylish handicrafts, jewelry, wooden works, knitted and crocheted items, concrete and plaster decorations, as well as festive arrangements and much more.

For the little guests, St. Nicholas will come to the market on Saturday and Sunday at 5:30 PM for gift-giving. Additionally, the Protestant parish invites children to craft and listen to Christmas stories in the community center on Saturday from 4 to 6 PM. The popular carousel will also bring joy to children's eyes once again.

The program will be musically rounded off with traditional Christmas concerts in the town church, taking place on both days at 5 PM.
