An exciting, multimedia journey to the beginning of time: breathtaking constellations, colorfully shimmering nebulae to marvel at on a large screen, embedded in the symphonic soundscapes of Swiss keyboardist David Plüss, alternating with songs and texts by songwriter Clemens Bittlinger and astrophysicist Prof. Dr. Andreas Burkert. Faith and natural science meet and unfold an intriguing and profound dialogue about the creation of the universe and our beloved Earth. Bittlinger and Burkert have known each other for many years; together they have created a television service on this topic for ZDF and a highly regarded large event at the German Evangelical Church Day in Cologne. In the program "Big Bang and Stardust," they explore the exciting question: "What did the 'three wise men from the East' really see in the sky? What we discover in the universe does not contradict a possible existence of what we commonly refer to as 'God' – on the contrary. The more I explore the universe, the more I marvel at how everything is interconnected in fascinating ways and how beautiful it is. And the most fascinating and astonishing thing is that I can understand the structure of the initially incredibly vast and foreign universe. And the more I understand, the more I marvel at the wonderful complexity, and now I will say it once: 'the creation of God' – God does not need to hide behind mysteries, says the astrophysicist, and thus the songwriter & pastor and the director of the observatory at the University of Munich meet in wonder and in praise of the Creator: 'When I see the heavens, the work of your hands (fingers), the moon and the stars that you have prepared: What is mankind that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?' All of this is embedded in wonderful music, with the opportunity to join in: 'Do you see the stars standing in the sky? Do you see the clouds passing by? In a thousand and one nights, a light has brought us on our way.' A courageous, intellectually refreshing, and simultaneously faith-strengthening multimedia concert. Participants: Prof. Dr. Andreas Burkert, Matthias Dörsam (saxophone, clarinet, etc.), David Plüss (keyboard), songwriter & pastor Clemens Bittlinger, and a technician.
