An exciting multimedia journey to the beginning of time: breathtaking constellations, colorful shimmering astral nebulae to marvel at on a large screen, embedded in the symphonic soundscapes of Swiss keyboardist David Plüss, alternating with songs and texts by songwriter Clemens Bittlinger and astrophysicist Prof. Dr. Andreas Burkert.
Faith and science meet and unfold a fascinating and profound dialogue about the origin of the universe and our beloved Earth. Bittlinger and Burkert have known each other for many years. Together, they have created a television church service on this topic for ZDF and a highly acclaimed major event at the German Protestant Church Congress in Cologne. In the program *"Big Bang and Stardust,"* they explore, among other things, the exciting question: "What did the 'three wise men from the East' really see in the sky? What we discover in space does not contradict the possible existence of what we commonly describe with the term 'God'—on the contrary. The more I explore the universe, the more I marvel at how everything is connected in a fascinating way and how beautiful it is. And the most fascinating and astonishing thing is that I can understand the structure of the universe, which at first seems incredibly vast and alien. And the more I understand, the more I marvel at the wonderful complexity, and now I will say it: "God's creation." — God has no need to hide behind mysteries, according to the astrophysicist, and so the songwriter & pastor and the director of the University of Munich Observatory meet in amazement and praise of the Creator: "When I see the heavens, the work of your hands (fingers), the moon and the stars that you have prepared: What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?" The whole thing is embedded in wonderful music and, again and again, the opportunity to join in: "Do you see the stars standing in the sky? Do you see the clouds passing by? In one of a thousand and one nights, a light has shown us the way."
An encouraging, intellectually refreshing, and at the same time faith-strengthening multimedia concert. Participants: Prof. Dr. Andreas Burkert, Matthias Dörsam (saxophone, clarinet, etc.), David Plüss (keyboard), songwriter & pastor Clemens Bittlinger, a technician.
