Senior Orchestra Markgräfler Music Association

With a matinée concert, the senior orchestra of the Markgräfler Music Association, under the direction of Roger Hartwig, delights brass music lovers in the Kurhaus. 40 musicians from across the Markgräflerland, with an average age of 77 years, not only play marches, polkas, and waltzes, but also enjoy performing overtures, operetta medleys, concert waltzes, and potpourris. This is all traditional brass music, which the seniors grew up with and which has been cherished and loved by these devoted enthusiasts. This ensemble has continuously evolved and has become a regular and well-received guest at many established events, such as the strawberry and asparagus festival in Schlatt, the music gathering in Biengen, or the Heitersheim Chilbi.
