Apollo5 - O Great Mystery

The celebrated five-member a cappella ensemble Apollo5 is one of the smallest yet most impressive vocal groups in Great Britain – and has long been at the forefront of international vocal art. Few other ensembles manage to combine tonal purity with such expressiveness and stylistic diversity. The British quintet, named after the ancient god of music, demonstrates how powerful five voices can be without instrumental accompaniment. The ensemble's repertoire ranges from works of the Renaissance to classical and contemporary choral pieces, as well as folk, jazz, and pop. It is a sound cosmos that brings to life a full five centuries. Their Christmas program also reflects this: resonant pieces from the Renaissance stand alongside modern choral gems and sensitive arrangements of traditional songs.
