Half Cabin

A modern farce. By Edith Ehrhardt, based on the film by Andreas Geiger. Andreas inherits a meadow along with a hut from his grandfather in his hometown. However, he soon discovers that half of the hut, which is located at the edge of the forest, is not actually on his property. It seems that his grandfather made a mistake of four meters when building the hut 80 years ago. This would not be a problem if a wealthy entrepreneur had not bought the adjacent large community forest to turn it into his private hunting ground. For Andreas, a battle begins against the power of money, claims of ownership, legislation, and bureaucratic authorities. Neither the building authority, the judiciary, the mayor, the local pub, nor the church have any ideas on how to reach an amicable solution and thus preserve the hut. In the end, demolition threatens, but Andreas is resourceful and does not give up.
