Christmas Market Schleusingen

Experience the festive atmosphere of the traditional Christmas market in the old town of Schleusingen! On the first Advent weekend, November 29th and 30th, we warmly invite you to a charming Christmas stroll in the marketplace and Bertholdstraße starting at 1:00 PM. On Saturday at 2:30 PM, the mayor will officially open the Christmas market. Highlights include the Christmas performances by the city band and the women's choir Slusia. Santa Claus and his little angel will also be present again, distributing 300 bags filled with sweet surprises to the children. Additionally, young guests can enjoy carriage rides and the popular children's carousel. Musical entertainment will be provided on Saturday from 6:00 PM by the Schleusetal Duo with a cheerful Christmas party. Ali Fröhlich will host the program. Our traditional Christmas riddle invites you to participate again: In the week leading up to the first Advent, letters will be hidden in the shop windows of the old town stores. Find them, form the Christmas solution word, and secure your chance to win numerous attractive prizes donated by local businesses. Participation coupons and drop-off points can be found directly in the stores, and the drawing of the winners will take place on Sunday in the market. Culinary delights from local restaurateurs and associations will ensure your well-being. On Saturday and during the open shopping Sunday, the shops in the old town warmly invite you to shop and stroll.
