In the shop windows of the city center, poetic texts by the Schramberg author Lars Bornschein can be discovered – beautifully designed by Carina Schmid with products from Schneider Schreibgeräte. When Schneider pens meet glass, the city center becomes a stage: With the project "Poetry in the Shop Window," Schramberg is transforming into a place where creativity, business, and regional engagement merge until Christmas. At the center are the poetic texts of Lars Bornschein, who lyrically captures everyday observations and thoughts about the city. The hand lettering artist Carina Schmid, who is also a trade fair and event manager at Schneider Schreibgeräte, artistically showcases these words. With lettering art, colors, and various design techniques, she brings Bornschein's poetry to life in the shop windows of the city. Lars Bornschein, born in 1967 in Heidenheim and a long-time resident of Schramberg, has been writing poetry since his youth and has published several volumes of poetry – including "Farbe bekenne" (2008) and "Beziehungsweisen und andere Ungereimtheiten" (2018). In his work, he addresses emotions, city impressions, and everyday observations, sometimes in short forms like haiku miniatures. He is also actively involved in the local literary scene and advocates for cultural anchoring in Schramberg. Schneider Schreibgeräte, the leading brand from Schramberg-Tennenbronn in the field of creative writing instruments, is a partner in the project. To enhance the pre-Christmas shopping experience in the city center, Schneider relies on a combination of digital and analog impulses. In the numerous designed shop windows, QR codes have also been placed, directing passersby to a specially created landing page of the company. There, interested individuals can find more information about the initiative and the products used, as well as the opportunity to shop the entire range online. Schneider also has a presence on-site in the book reading area: Until early January, a lovingly designed "store-in-store" area invites visitors to discover a variety of Schneider products. The selection ranges from gift ideas to products for DIY projects to classic stationery. An additional testing area allows customers to try out the products directly and convince themselves of their quality. Carina Schmid, responsible for trade fairs, events, and communication at Schneider, and privately known for her hand lettering and acrylic art under her label @cariletterei, took on the creative planning and implementation of the project. With artistically designed shop windows, canvases, chalkboards, wooden boards, and picture frames, she impressively demonstrates how versatile Schneider products can be used. At the same time, the company aims to inspire customers to discover their own creative side and bring it to fruition. With this initiative, Schneider creates a varied shopping experience while also making a creative statement in the city center. The retail shops in Schramberg become small exhibition spaces: Their shop windows showcase handwritten texts and artistic exhibits, inviting a lively stroll through the heart of Schramberg that connects poetry, art, and local economy. The initiative is coordinated by the municipal economic development agency of the large district town of Schramberg and is supported as part of the immediate program for city centers by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg.
