Advent Afternoon on the 3rd Advent, 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM, Advent Afternoon, Evangelical Community Center, Karlstr. 24. You are cordially invited! “Lift up your heads, ye gates, and be lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in…” With the sounds of this festive Christmas carol, we would like to invite you to an ‘International Advent Afternoon’ at the community center. Under the motto “Meeting each other – Connecting with each other,” a colorful and reflective Advent program awaits you for young and old. While the scent of freshly baked cake and hot coffee fills the air, you can engage in conversation in a cozy setting in the community hall. In the Anna-Fink room, there will be a craft offering for children. In the dimly lit and candle-lit Paul-Schempp room, you will have the opportunity to create your own Advent candle in a meditative atmosphere. For those who enjoy singing, an open Christmas carol singing session featuring German and Ukrainian songs is planned. Additionally, there will be a Ukrainian Christmas play and a performance by the Ukrainian group “Songs for the Soul.” The Advent afternoon is being prepared together with the active Ukrainians in the community, who are excited to contribute to the event. The afternoon is open to everyone.
