The tradition of building Christmas nativity scenes has deep roots, originating in churches and monasteries. The birth of Jesus in the stable in Bethlehem has always fascinated Christians and inspired both artists and private individuals to create unique depictions.
The monastery church in Bronnbach and the Christmas nativity scene in the San Salvator Chapel are true gems. The princely family of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg also had a traditional Christmas nativity scene at Haid Castle. On Boxing Day, Bronnbach Monastery offers a special themed tour with Torsten Englert, focusing on the history of the Christmas nativity scene.
