Experience Pápa – An Evening of Hungarian Joy of Life

As part of the visit of a delegation from Schwetzingen's partner city Pápa (Hungary), the program "Museum frei Haus" invites you to a special Hungarian evening. Under the title "Experience Pápa – An Evening of Hungarian Joy of Life," the event offers a sensory and cultural journey to Western Hungary – featuring impressive film images, traditional crafts, and exquisite wines. After a welcome by museum director Lars Maurer, who will moderate the evening, guests can look forward to a varied program: First, a short promotional film will introduce the city of Pápa – its history, cultural diversity, and life in the partner city. Following this, representatives of the Hungarian delegation will present the traditional craft of blue printing, which has been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. For this demonstration, the director of Hungary's only blue printing museum has traveled from Pápa. Participants will then have the opportunity to try their hand at this traditional craft. To conclude the evening, a wine tasting of Hungarian wines invites enjoyment and shared exchange. The tasting will be accompanied by a German-speaking representative from the Tornai winery, who will introduce the distinctive wines of the estate. The evening is aimed at anyone interested in art, culture, and enjoyment, and who wishes to experience the friendship with Pápa up close. The number of participants is limited to 18 people.
