The fact that this traditional tournament can finally take place again fills us with pride – and also with a sense of gratitude. Gratitude towards everyone who has worked in recent months and years to ensure that we can stand here today: our partners, our volunteers, our supporters, and of course the participating teams. The Burger King Super Cup has embodied sporting quality, fair competition, and an outstanding sense of community for decades. It has been and continues to be a place where experienced teams meet emerging talents, where passion and team spirit are at the forefront, and where football reveals its unifying power. After the long break, we want to build on exactly that – while also setting new impulses to make the tournament fit for the future. We wish all teams exciting and fair matches, the spectators wonderful football moments, and all of us an unforgettable tournament weekend.
