**The Staufer Legacy – The ruling dynasty and its burial place** As founders of the monastery, the Staufers had close ties to Lorch. Initially, the spiritual center was located in the town of Lorch, but after the consecration of the monastery church, it moved to Liebfrauenberg. Portraits of the Staufers on the pillars in the nave, the Staufer tomb, and the Irenene monument still remind us of the ruling dynasty today.
