Staufer Legacy - The Ruling Dynasty and Their Burial Site As founders of the monastery, the Staufer were closely connected to Lorch. Initially, the spiritual center was located in the town of Lorch, but it shifted to the Liebfrauenberg after the consecration of the monastery church. Staufer portraits on the pillars in the nave, the Staufer tomb, and the Irene monument still remind us today of the ruling dynasty.
