How did monks live in the Middle Ages? Family tour of Lorch Monastery

Experience a journey through time and the history of the monastery – exciting, entertaining, and told in a vivid manner. An interactive tour for the entire family: children (and adults, if desired) can dress up as monks and experience history firsthand. A "noble lady" or a "monk" takes the children on a journey back in time to the Middle Ages, when Benedictine monks lived here in Lorch Monastery. What was their day like? What did they eat? What did the rule of silence mean? The adventure program also includes, for example, a search for the noble dead in the monastery church, a monastery ghost story, and a climb up the Marsilius Tower. Experience a journey through the history of the monastery – exciting, fun, and told up close! This tour is designed to be enjoyed by parents and grandparents as well as children, who are allowed to dress up as monks. For a fee of €2, we can also provide adults with monk's robes on request!
