How far should a dog's loyalty go? Akira would love to discuss this with his owner, to explain to him that he is on the wrong path. But apart from a "Woof, Woof," nothing would come out of his mouth. The dog is man's best friend. That's what they say. And Akira, a Siberian Husky, is closely bonded to his owner "Papa Attila." Attila rescued him from the animal shelter as a puppy and comforted him, knowing exactly how it feels to finally be "freed" from a home. He himself was adopted 41 years ago and given the name Attila Klaus Peter Hildmann. From then on, nothing could separate them. Akira received a home from Papa Attila, food three times a day, they take long walks together, and cuddle to sleep. Akira was there when his dad became famous with vegan cookbooks, earned millions, and opened his vegan snack bars. Akira is also vegan, even though he dreams of bloody steaks at night. One day, when he witnesses Attila attaching the Imperial War Flag to his Porsche, driving in front of the Old Museum, and starting to glorify Hitler in front of a crowd, he is shocked and anything but proud of his owner. Akira is a very educated dog; he knows a lot about history. And he cannot understand how someone who is so loving to him can shout such nonsense. Akira finds himself in a dilemma: How far should a dog's loyalty go? He would love to discuss this with his owner, to explain to him that he is on the wrong path. But apart from a "Woof, Woof," nothing would come out of his mouth. Therefore, he turns to the audience with his question, with whom he can miraculously communicate. And this question is significant. How does one confront the creeping radicalization of their loved ones and close ones? How does one bridge the divide? How does one speak when the other seems unreachable? The intelligent and humorous idea of the author team Noëlle Haeseling and Leo Meier is to make Attila Hildmann's dog the key witness to his owner's drift into conspiracy-driven and far-right activism, which this development simply cannot accept despite its inherent canine loyalty. By Noëlle Haeseling and Leo Meier.
