We have the following regular events on the Katrin during the winter season (starting December 20, 2025):

Sledding fun all winter long
If there’s no snow at the bottom, winter fun awaits at the top! You can go sledding on the Katrin all winter long – fresh mountain air, smiling faces, and pure snow happiness included.

Every Friday: Mulled cider & punch during the gondola ride
A special way to end the week: Every Friday, all guests can enjoy free mulled cider and non-alcoholic punch right at the gondola ride. A warming greeting from us – for you, our winter guest!

Every Wednesday: Fresh chestnuts at Alex in the mountain inn
The scent of freshly roasted chestnuts fills the air! Enjoy the crispy warm specialty at Alex in the mountain inn on Wednesdays – perfect for warming up after a winter walk and enjoying the view over the snowy Salzkammergut.

Special events:

January 23 & February 6: Punch on the mountain at Chill am Berg
Enjoyment, music, and mountain air – simply perfectly combined! On these days, you can expect hot punch, chill lounge music, and a relaxed atmosphere amidst the winter panorama at Chill am Berg. Tip: In case of bad weather, the punch on the mountain will take place on the following Sunday.
