With one of the most powerful voices in modern music history and her unmistakably unique timbre, pop icon Anastacia has been one of the most successful pop stars of her time worldwide since the early 2000s. Although she did not achieve major success in her home country, the USA, she sold over 50 million records worldwide and celebrated multi-platinum hits such as "I’m Outta Love," "Paid My Dues," and "Left Outside Alone." To date, the singer has received over 225 awards in a total of 31 countries and has had number-one hits in 19 countries. The album debuted at number 2 in Germany and number 3 in Austria, remaining on both charts for over 80 weeks. In 2001, "Freak of Nature" became the singer's first number-one album in Germany, narrowly missing the top spot in Austria. In 2004, her third album "Anastacia" reached number 1 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the UK, subsequently earning multi-platinum certifications in all those countries. At the peak of her career, Anastacia was undoubtedly one of the most successful voices in the pop world, achieving her first number-one hit in Germany with the duet "I Belong To You (Il Ritmo Della Passione)" alongside Eros Ramazzotti. A longer hiatus followed, which Anastacia ended in 2008 with her album "Heavy Rotation." In the 2010s, she released the albums "It’s a Man’s World" (2012), "Resurrection" (2014), and "Evolution" (2017). After celebrating the 22nd anniversary of her smash hit "I’m Outta Love" on her massive I’m Outta Lockdown – The 22nd Anniversary Tour in the UK and Europe, she released "Our Songs" in 2023, marking the next chapter of her career. The album—a cover album featuring interpretations of songs by Tokio Hotel, Unheilig, Die Toten Hosen, Scorpions, Udo Lindenberg, and many others—is her tribute to the best songs and melodies she discovered while touring in Germany—a country where she has sold over 3 million records to date. With "Our Songs," Anastacia reached number 2 on the German album charts and number 5 in Austria and Switzerland in September 2023—her highest chart entry in 20 years, further proving the special status Anastacia holds in the German-speaking region.
