Guided snowshoe hike in the high moor

We will walk from the parking lot for 5 minutes to the edge of the forest. After putting on our snowshoes, we will follow a forest road towards the high moor. Here, we will hike through a winter landscape with many clearings that offer us a beautiful view of the Wasenmoos and the Hohe Tauern, gaining about 200 meters in elevation. Once we reach the top, we can enjoy the view over a high moor towards the small Rettenstein before we hike back down.

Alongside a small stream covered in ice crystals and across a piece of open field, the path leads us past a forest cemetery directly to the Hochmoorstüberl, where we can take a break and relax with local delicacies. After that, we will hike along a snowy path to the Wasenmoos, where we will check out the information stand before we stroll through the Wasenmoos and then leisurely return to the starting point.
