The Second World War did not spare Graz either. The "City of the People's Uprising," which was the first city in the "Eastern March" to be declared "free of Jews," was by the end of the war the most bombed city in Austria. Some traces of this time can still be seen in our city, and the biographies of the perpetrators and victims must not be forgotten, especially today.
