Katzenberg 1, 4982 Kirchdorf Am Inn
Starting March 28, the dinosaurs are back at Katzenberg Castle! In its fifth season, DINOLAND has established a permanent location in the castle park and has become an absolute visitor magnet, attracting several hundred thousand guests in recent years, making it a staple in the leisure offerings of the Innviertel! The nearly 100 displayed dinosaur stars have been crowd favorites since the very beginning, but the adventure offerings of the large family park are also impressive: climbing, balancing, and crawling courses, a labyrinth, a dino dome, and dino rides, a research camp, and much more turn the educational path through the castle park into a true action experience! In 2026, new dinosaurs will also bring fresh excitement to the park. Additionally, DINOLAND will once again feature an XXL slide turning it into a water paradise in the summer!
In Dinoland, visitors can immerse themselves in the mysterious past of our planet in a beautiful forest and meadow area covering 40,000 square meters! On their discovery tour through the expansive research grounds, they embark on an exciting journey into a long-gone geological era over 200 million years ago, featuring nearly 100 life-sized and realistic dinosaurs, skeletons, and fossils. Visitors will come face to face with impressive giants like the Tyrannosaurus Rex or the Triceratops, as well as the Stegosaurus, to name just a few of the most famous reptiles. They all tell fascinating stories and will captivate both young and old explorers! All models have been crafted authentically under scientific guidance. Some can even move realistically and make sounds thanks to elaborate animatronics.
Interactive and Educational
With Dinoland, a unique prehistoric classroom has been created, inviting children to explore, touch, and try things out in interactive areas. Instead of in a dusty museum, children and their parents can discover exciting facts about the prehistoric giants and their era in the beautiful setting of Katzenberg Castle. In addition to the impressive exhibits, the adventure park offers a diverse and extraordinary participatory program for all ages. In the dino dome, young visitors can ride dino scooters, sit on life-sized dinosaurs while dino riding, and win a personalized explorer pass during the dino rally. The treasure sifting and fossil uncovering in the research camp is both exciting and educational, turning children into hobby archaeologists!
There are also numerous challenging climbing and crawling structures, giant slides, an enchanted labyrinth, thrilling balancing paths, a flying fox that allows you to "fly" from tree to tree on a rope, and the Dinoland water playground! This water-themed play paradise is not only a huge fun factor for little water lovers, but it also has a fantastic educational concept behind it! A drinking water fountain provides free cooling on hot days, while a gold panning station and new fossil rock for the research camp make the outing exciting and thrilling.
Visitors should definitely plan at least three hours for the approximately one-kilometer circular path! Many of the attractions are included in the admission price. Children under four years of age have free entry.
