Thomas Scheytt, Piano Solo - Classics of Blues & Boogie Woogie and Original Compositions

Thomas Scheytt is regarded as "one of the best contemporary boogie and blues pianists. He combines high pianistic skill with an incredible, deeply felt variety of expression" (Jazzpodium Germany). On Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 11:30 AM, he will perform a matinee featuring classics of blues and boogie woogie, as well as his own compositions, in the foyer of the Stadthalle in Sigmaringen. Scheytt is one of the busiest musicians in the European blues and boogie scene. For over 20 years, he has been a guest not only as a soloist but also with his trio Boogie Connection in jazz clubs and at festivals both domestically and internationally—having performed four times at the world-famous New Orleans Jazz Festival in Ascona. Scheytt has received multiple awards, including the nomination of his CD Blues Colours for the German Record Critics' Award and winning the German Blues Award twice in 2015.
