Public city tour in costume

A public costume tour through Bad Karlshafen takes place every Sunday at 1:30 PM, starting from the Tourist Information. Guests have the opportunity to meet Landgrave Carl of Hesse one time, and another time they stroll with his wife Amalia through the baroque harbor town, encounter the pharmacist Jacques Galland, the discoverer of the salt springs, or listen to the stories of the Huguenot Marie Durand. During these tours, you will explore the city founded in 1699 by Landgrave Carl of Hesse at the mouth of the Diemel River into the Weser, following in the footsteps of the Huguenots.
