Feldberg tour – On the trail of the Black Forest summit with the Black Forest Association Görwihl

The Black Forest Association in Görwihl invites you to join an impressive circular hike on the Feldberg – the highest peak in the Black Forest and one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the region. After a 50-minute drive, we reach our destination at the Feldberg parking garage, where our varied hike begins. From here, the trail leads us along the ski lift to the historic Bismarck monument, which already offers a first charming view of the surrounding area. We then continue our ascent to the Feldberg summit, the highest point in the Black Forest, where a breathtaking panorama awaits us: on clear days, the view stretches across the wide Black Forest valleys to the Alps and even the Vosges mountains. It is an ideal place to take photos, take a short break, and enjoy the beauty of nature to the fullest. From the summit, we descend to the Baldenweger Hut, a cozy place to stop for refreshments before continuing our hike on a magnificent panoramic trail around the Feldberg. The trail takes us past impressive landscapes, through dense forests and open highlands that convey the typical Black Forest atmosphere. On the way, we pass the Zastler Hut, which offers another picturesque stopover before we reach the Wilhelmer Hut. Here we take our well-deserved lunch break to recharge our batteries, fortify ourselves, and enjoy the hike together. After lunch, we continue our tour via the Todtnauer Hütte, where we can optionally stop for coffee or a refreshing ice cream. The trail then leads us back to the starting point at the Feldberg parking garage. The tour, which is around 12.5 kilometers long with an elevation gain of around 420 meters, offers a perfect mix of moderate climbs, leisurely breaks, and impressive views that make every step worthwhile.
