Cross-border New Year's Eve celebration

As every year, the cross-border New Year's Eve fireworks with musical accompaniment will take place on the Rhine Bridge. Both Rheinfelden towns will celebrate together into the new year. On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the New Year's Eve celebration of the two Rheinfelden towns will take place. A spectacular fireworks display with musical accompaniment will welcome the new year shortly after midnight. Prior to that, reflective events will usher in the New Year's Eve night.

10:30 PM Welcome at the Rhine Bridge with music and refreshments
12:10 AM New Year's Eve Fireworks on the Rhine Bridge

The old Rhine Bridge and the access to the Salmegg parking garage on the German side will be closed from 10 PM on December 31, 2025. The public is asked to refrain from setting off private fireworks. For safety reasons, private fireworks are not allowed on the bridge and within fifty meters of the bridgeheads. There will be checks at the entrance gates at both bridge access points.
