Resounding Advent Wreath – Concerts of the Municipal Music School

The music school Waldkirch warmly invites you to the traditional "Resounding Advent Wreath" again this year. Four Advent concerts will take place on the Advent Saturdays – November 29, December 6, December 13, and December 20 – each at 6:30 PM in various churches in Waldkirch.

First Concert in the Stadtkapelle
The first concert on Saturday, November 29, in the Stadtkapelle Waldkirch will feature a colorful program of Advent music. Two recorder ensembles and a trio under the direction of Bettina Fischer, the children's chamber orchestra led by Berthilde Galosi, and a guitar ensemble led by Werner Fischer will perform. Additionally, students will be heard in solo performances. The audience is invited to sing along to two well-known songs.

Second Concert in Buchholz
On Saturday, December 6, the second concert will take place at St. Pankratius Church in Buchholz. The program includes guitar ensembles under the direction of Stefan Goeritz, the Buchholz Brass Band – a cooperative orchestra of the music school and the Buchholz music club – as well as oboe students from Veda Lin's class. There will also be solo contributions.

Third Concert in Kollnau
The concert for the third Advent on Saturday, December 13, will be held at St. Josef Church in Kollnau. This concert will feature a mixed program from various instrument classes.

Fourth Concert in the Evangelical Church
At the last concert on Saturday, December 20, in the Evangelical Church in Waldkirch, students who participated in the project "Piano Meets Organ" by Patricia Germano will perform, among others. The program will be complemented by a trumpet quartet and a brass ensemble under the direction of Stephen Altoft, as well as a harp ensemble led by Samira Nowarra. Solo contributions with piano or organ accompaniment by Patricia Germano and students will round off the concert evening.
