Grafting Fruit Trees - Practical Course

The correct handling of the grafting knife will be learned, and the theoretical foundational knowledge of fruit tree grafting will be consolidated. Participants can bring their own (freshly cut) apple or pear scions, which we will graft onto existing medium and strong-growing rootstocks together. (Additional charge of €6.50 per rootstock) The following topics will be covered in the course:
- Basic knowledge of tree physiology
- Theoretical foundations of fruit tree grafting; cuttings; vegetative and generative propagation
- The suitable rootstock
- Properly cutting and storing scions
- Winter and summer grafting techniques
- Tools for grafting fruit trees
