Roland Vogl & Dietmar Baumgartner are the strong backbone of Wolfgang Ambros's live band, the No. 1 from the Wienerwald, with their voices and guitars.

Their Wödmasta dialect translations of Anglo-American pop and rock gems beam the hits of Eurythmics, Queen, The Beatles, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more into the local color of Vienna.

The authentic Wödmasta songs, featured on several albums, EPs, and singles, tell the stories of the common folk, the clumsy anti-heroes. They sing about fighting, love, drinking, finding small happiness in the big picture, failing, and rising again, giving a piece of dignity and hope back to the battered Austrian soul.

For ten years now, the legendary combo has been performing from Marchfeld to Lake Constance, across the Alpine ridges of the Republic and into neighboring countries. It's clear that the Wödmasta and their astonishingly entertaining YouTube videos, including collaborations with Thomas Stipsits, have achieved cult status. In band formation with Mischa Krausz (A. Heller, R. Fendrich, Kottans Kapelle!, Maria Bill, H. Dujmic…) on bass and Wolfgang Luckner (G. Danzer, die Seer…) on drums, they form a unique and irresistible Austro All-Star band.
