Voodoo magic and Viennese soul – a dialect original throws itself into the "Ansa Panier" and graces us with its presence. Alongside well-known gems, Voodoo Jürgens also offers fresh "Woar" this time – in the form of a brand-new album.

Austropop/Indie In a relentless exploration of the depths of the Viennese soul, the Amadeus Award winner has been delivering pearls of dialect poetry for years. Initially performing as a pub bard, Voodoo became known to a larger audience through the cult station FM4. In 2016, he scored his first hit: "Heite grob ma Tote aus." The album ’S klane Glücksspiel became a celebrated dialect masterpiece about outsiders and regulars' philosophers. His humor is as dark as the "Nocht." Speaking of which: On his third album Wie die Nocht noch jung wor, Voodoo Jürgens recently served up a brilliant hodgepodge: brass twists, waltz rhythms, bittersweet melancholy, and Balkan flavors. The band Ansa Panier garnishes the whole affair with accordion and fiddle, bass and piano. Anticipation for Voodoo's new album is reaching unimaginable heights. An album release show that you shouldn't miss.

David Öllerer, alias Voodoo Jürgens, was born in 1983 in Tulln. He co-founded the rock band Die Eternias. Under the pseudonym Voodoo Jürgens, he released his solo debut album Ansa Woar in 2016, which reached number one on the domestic charts.
