But what seems so wild and romantic in the folk song was, in reality, a grueling job in the toughest shift work. The mill ran around the clock – the miller and her crew did too. She also recounts the determination with which the widowed miller fought for the preservation of her Frick Mill, which literally stirred up a lot of dust or flour.
