The Schwarzwaldverein Görwihl invites you to an extraordinary tour that combines natural history, urban history, and a true underground experience. We will first hike the Laufenburger 8 – a beautiful loop around the twin towns – and then dive into a fascinating, hidden world beneath the old town of Laufenburg. During a guided tour of the approximately 200-meter-long tunnel, we will experience the geology of the Black Forest up close and from a completely new perspective. Along the way, we will learn exciting and surprising facts: Why are fossilized beach shells found on mountain peaks today? How did the Ice Age shape the course of the Rhine? And what role does the resilient Black Forest gneiss play in the history of the town of Laufenburg? A tour that engages both heart and mind – challenging in its themes, warm in its delivery, and absolutely impressive in its experience. Cost of tunnel tour: 20 CHF Meeting point / Departure: Heimatmuseum, XX o'clock Hiking guide: Uwe Stiller Phone: 07754 / 73 38 Info & Registration: stiller.uwe@gmx.de
