We will first hike the Laufenburger 8—a beautiful loop around the twin cities—and then dive into a fascinating, hidden world beneath Laufenburg's old town. During a 200-meter-long tunnel tour, we will experience the geology of the Black Forest up close and from a completely new perspective. We will learn exciting and surprising facts: Why are fossilized beach shells found on mountain peaks today? How did the Ice Age shape the course of the Rhine?
