Nicholas Market around St. Peter's Parish Church

The traditional "Merzig Nikolaus Market" takes place around the parish church of St. Peter. Visitors can expect a diverse market for young and old, featuring various handcrafted products, classic Christmas decorations, and a wide range of culinary offerings, complemented by a musical program from local associations. For the little visitors, there will again be an "Angel Workshop." On Saturday (November 29, 2025) at 5:00 PM, St. Nicholas will be a guest at the official opening by Mayor Marcus Hoffeld, bringing a surprise for the children. Additionally, many shops in Merzig will be open on Sundays as part of the "Sunday Shopping" event from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. On this day, the popular Christmas raffle organized by VHG will also kick off, featuring many attractive prizes.
