Hike along the Beaver Trail from Tössegg (Switzerland) with the Black Forest Association of Görwihl

The Black Forest Association in Görwihl invites you to join them on a varied tour in Switzerland. We will hike along the WWF Beaver Trail, which runs directly alongside the Rhine and delights visitors with its narrow, natural path. This hike offers impressive views of the turquoise-blue Rhine as the trail leads through light forests, open meadows, and peaceful riverbank landscapes. The varied route invites you to consciously perceive nature, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the picturesque river landscape at your leisure. Along the trail, information boards tell the story of the exciting return of the beaver to our region and provide insights into its way of life, its habits, and the important ecological role that this nimble rodent plays in the river valley. After the hike, another highlight awaits participants: a leisurely boat trip on the Rhine from Tössegg to Eglisau and back again. The trip costs around 16 Swiss francs and allows you to experience the river valley from a whole new perspective. From the water, you can enjoy special views of the banks that cannot be seen from the hiking trail, and the peaceful gliding along the Rhine rounds off the nature experience perfectly. The tour is an ideal combination of exercise, nature and a relaxed communal experience. On a walking route of around 11 kilometers, with an elevation gain of around 125 meters and a pure walking time of around three hours, hikers of all ages can enjoy the beauty of the Rhine landscape, discover new perspectives, and at the same time experience the camaraderie within the group.
