Dress warmly - it's going to get hot! - Sven Plöger is coming!

“Dress warmly, it’s going to get hot” – with this title, diploma meteorologist, author, and weather presenter Sven Plöger will give a full-length lecture at the Bürgerhaus in Müllheim on December 18, 2025. His talk will provide a clear assessment of where we truly stand regarding global warming, because: “We no longer have time to wishfully think our way into a better world or to state that it’s already too late.” The second part of the lecture will focus on ways to address the challenges posed by climate change, which we certainly face. Since 1999, Sven Plöger has been in front of the camera, hosting the live weather show “Wetter vor acht” before the Tagesschau and the weather segment following the Tagesthemen, as well as numerous weather broadcasts on the ARD’s regional channels. In 2010, he received the award for “Best Weather Presenter in Germany.” The association Bürgerwindrad Blauen e.V. aims to inform about the background of the energy transition necessary to avert the climate catastrophe through this and other planned events.
